Refund policy

Last updated October 21, 2026

You can get a full refund within 14 days of any payment if you haven’t used live transcription since that payment. Request it through Paddle at paddle.net. This doesn’t limit your rights under consumer law.

What counts as using live transcription

Anything that runs transcription or explanations on your account counts: starting a listening session, or any request for a transcription key or an AI explanation made with your account — from the Langmerse app or from any other software. Our server records each of these with its time, and that record decides whether a payment can be refunded. What you used in your free trial, before you paid, doesn't count.

How to ask for a refund

Paddle, our online reseller and merchant of record, handles refunds. Go to paddle.net and look up your order with the email you paid with, or reply to your Paddle receipt. A refund goes back to the way you paid, and the access that payment bought ends.

Cancelling

Cancel any time from your account page (Manage billing). Cancelling stops future payments; you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Free trials

A free trial costs nothing, and nothing is charged when it ends: you're only charged if you choose a plan. That plan's first payment follows the rule above like any other: if you haven't used live transcription since it, it's refunded in full on request — what you used during the trial doesn't count.

Your rights

This policy adds to the rights consumer law gives you and takes none away. Paddle's refund policy sets out those rights where they apply — for example, a 7-day right to cancel in Canada — and anyone can get a refund if the service doesn't work as described. Paddle's buyer terms apply too.
